Academic Areas: Digital Design Theory and Technology, including Product Modeling, Design Optimization, Collaborative Development, Digital design software techniques for CAD / CAE / CAPP / PLM，etc.
Professor Wang Qifu is an expert in CAD software areas. He is the vice-director of National Engineering Research Center of CAD Supporting Software(Wuhan) and a doctoral supervisor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is also a member of the 5th Applied Graphics Committee of China Graphics Society and a executive vice president of the 10th Hubei Provincial Engineering Graphics Society.
He has spent many years on the research of the theory, method and technology of the digital design associated with CAD / CAE / CAPP / PLM, etc. In recent years, he has presided over and completed a series of research programs including National Natural Science Foundation, the National 863 Program, the National Science and Technology Support Program and some programs in Hubei Province.
