Chen Yongjie is a professor in the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His areas of research include metal cutting, cutting tool design,precision engineering and so on.He is currently working on two projects:one project on the micronano sensor and it’s system for monitoring of metal cutting process funded by the National HighTechnology Research and Development Program ("863"Program) of China, and other project on Development of Serial Cutting Tools for Machining Titanium Alloy Parts with Complex Structure Used in the Industry of Aeronautics and Astronautics funded by National Science and Technology Major Project of China.He also teaches the courses for undergraduate student .
