—— Academician Li Peigen Gave A Lecture for MIB Students
On the afternoon of April 18th, Mechanical Innovation Base (MIB) invited Li Peigen, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, nicknamed “Uncle Gen” by HUST students, to give a speech entitled “A Brief Talk about Innovation Thinking and Culture, for students of Qiming College and MIB at East No.12 Building. Liu Lunhong, Director of MIB, chaired the lecture.
Centered around the three key words “Idea, Consciousness, Thinking”, Academician Li Peigen illustrated the opportunities and challenges brought by new technologies. After analyzing the topic how innovation education can adapt to the age of human-machine intelligence, Li put forward the method of becoming innovative talents in the new era.
Li pointed out that facing the “Emerging Engineering Education”, students should not only focus on learning technology, but also on idea, consciousness and thinking. Teachers should guide students to realize the significance of innovation and free thinking, so as to cultivate the students into innovative talents of the new era.
Li also answered problems from teachers and students. The students said they learned a lot from the lecture, which would help them find a clear direction.
