The final of the 2nd Chinese Universities Intelligent Robot Creation Competition was held on the 5th and 6th of May in Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province. There were in total 48 First Prizes and 95 Second Prizes. HUST won 6 First Prizes and 4 Second Prizes, ranking the top among all universities. MSE of HUST won 3 First Prizes and 2 Second Prizes.
The Chinese Universities Intelligent Robot Creation Competition is co-sponsored by China Association of Higher Education, Sub-committee of Engineering Graphics Teaching Guide of the Education Ministry and the Organizing Committee of the Chinese Universities Intelligent Robot Creation Competition. It is one of the most technically challenging and the most influential competition in China.
There were over 6000 college students from more than 1800 teams of 300 universities and colleges taking part in this competition. After two sessions of experts evaluation, 497 works were selected for the final. About 50 teachers and students from 13 teams of the 8 schools of HUST took part in the final.
This competition was mainly conducted by MSE of HUST, which is entrusted by the Office of Academic Studies. Since the initiation of the competition, the Office of Academic Studies, Qiming College of HUST, School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation, as well as MSE all paid high attention to it and gave full support to it, which laid solid foundation for the great success of the competition.
