On August 25th, the 2019 World Robot Conference was successfully completed in Beijing. The 2019 World Robot Contest was held at the same time. Among all Tri-Co Robot Challenge teams, MSE team iRobotCNC led by Associate Prof. Zhao Huan again won the championship with total points 9918, which was 2870 points ahead of the Second Prize team.
11 teams took part in the contest, including Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Dalian University of Technology, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc.
The World Robot Contest: Tri-Co Robot Challenge is the platform of NSFC’s major research plan-- the Research on the Basic Theory and Key Technology of Tri-Co Robot. The contest is widely praised as the Olympic Game of robotics, which is of great influence both at home and abroad.
