1. About the Forum

The East Lake International Forum for Outstanding Overseas Young Scholars (East Lake Forum) was founded in 2012 and has invited about 1400 scholars from over 30 countries and regions to attend.

The Forum aims at gathering outstanding young scientists and technologists all over the world to interact and discuss emerging frontiers in science and technology. Through presentations and discussions, the forum will foster cross-disciplinary exchange and cooperation among the meeting participants in emerging scientific and technological fields and contribute to sustainable development.

2. Subject Area

The forum covers a wide range of disciplines including mathematics, physics, chemistry, environment and earth science, information science, engineering science, material science, bioscience, medical science，humanities and social sciences.

3. Requirements for applicants

Under 40 years old as of December 31, 2019
Holding a doctoral degree from overseas renowned universities，or from Chinese universities with at least 3-year overseas working experience in overseas renowned universities, research institutions or R&D department of well-known enterprises
Having shown innovation and potentials in your area of focus (science, engineering, economics, management, humanities and social sciences etc.)

4. Deadline for application

Submit the application form via the website (eastlakeforum.hust.edu.cn) by November 17, 2019. Qualified applicants will receive feedback by November 27, 2019.
