On March 24th, the Rehabilitation Care Action for Chinese Medical Staff Infected with COVID-19 was officially launched at Wutongyu Conference Center of HUST. The action was initiated by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Tencent Charity Foundation, and implemented by hospitals and organizations with the Union Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of HUST taking the lead.
A group of officers, experts and entrepreneurs led by Mr. Ding Xiangyang, member of the central steering group and Vice Secretary General of the State Council, Prof. Shao Xinyu, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Secretary of the Party Committee of HUST, and Prof. Li Yuanyuan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of HUST, attended the launching ceremony. Mr. Zhang Boli, member of the expert group of the central steering group, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, presided over the ceremony. Leaders of HUST, such as Wang Wei, Chen Jianguo, Xie Zhengxue and Xie Xiaolin attended the ceremony.
It was known that the rehabilitation care action would provide systematic and comprehensive support for infected medical staff, including follow-up observation and research on their physiological and psychological conditions, provide rehabilitation intervention with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine for those in need according to the assessment results, and provide long-term support for their career development.
After the launching ceremony, the attendees investigated the Advanced Manufacturing Comprehensive Experimental Center of MSE accompanied by Shao Xinyu, Li Yuanyuan and Xie Xiaolin, They listened to the development of National Key Laboratory of Digital Manufacturing Equipment and Technology, and the main scientific research work and progress of the Laboratory. They also got to know the HY-2005B infrared intelligent temperature measurement system and its application in important epidemic prevention places, and high-power laser welding and other innovative research results and applications. The experts highly affirmed relevant achievements of MSE.
Prof. Shi Tielin, Secretary of the Party Committee of MSE, and Prof. Chen Jihong of the CNC Engineering Center of MSE, participated in the investigation.
