On July 10, the HUST Wutongyu Academic Exchange Forum & Academic Frontier Youth Team Exploration Forum—the 2020 Job Shop Scheduling Symposium was successfully held at the Tencent Conference App. The symposium was held by the Research and Development Office of HUST, and organized by MSE of HUST. Domestic well-known experts in this field and over 300 experts and scholars from some universities and research institutes of China attended the symposium, carrying out in-depth exchange and discussion about academic frontier trends of job shop scheduling.
Prof. Gao Liang, Vice Director of the Research and Development Office of HUST, addressed the opening ceremony. Prof. Li Xinyu of MSE, HUST chaired the symposium.
11 scholars gave academic reports, who were from Tsinghua University, Beihang University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Donghua University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Southeast University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Tongji University, Wuhan University of Technology and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Among them, Prof. Zhang Chaoyong from MSE of HUST gave the report titled “Research on Job Shop Scheduling Based on Intelligent Algorithm”.
The symposium enhanced the understanding of domestic scholars about job shop frontier trends, and also promoted development of disciplines such as industrial engineering and operations research and optimization.
