On October 25, the 62th Frontier Exploration Forum of HUST Academic Frontier Youth Teams was successfully held in Wutongyu Academic Center, HUST, with the theme of the forum “the Frontier Exploration of Flexible Hybrid Electronic Manufacturing”. The forum, organized jointly by HUST and the State Key Laboratory of Digital Manufacturing Equipment and Technology (the State Key Lab), invited 19 prominent scholars from 15 universities and research institutes such as Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Harbin Institute of Technology and Northwestern University, etc., discussing together emerging manufacturing theories and methods of flexible electronics. Due to requirements of Epidemic prevention and control, the forum also held a synchronous broadcasting online, with the number of audiences up to 12,000 at the peak time.
Prof. Huang Yongan of MSE chaired the opening ceremony of the forum, and Prof. Yin Zhouping, Deputy Dean of MSE and Director of the State Key Lab, gave a welcome speech. Prof. Yin expressed his welcome and thanks to the presence of the scholars, and then introduced the great demand and strategic position of Micro-nano manufacturing sciences, as well as key research contents and future direction of development of the discipline. The 19 scholars all gave excellent academic presentations at the forum.
In the end, Prof. Huang Yongan summarized the fruitful results of the forum, which provided a wonderful communication platform for experts and scholars in the field of flexible electronics, and experts shared some frontier issues, the latest results and applications. Audiences also benefited from the mode of combing online and offline communication of the forum, which would furthermore promote rapid development of flexible electronics technology.
