I graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1957 have worked in HUST since then. I have focused in automatic manufacture technology and equipment, especially in grinding and laser areas. I am the member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the chief scientist of many major scientific projects, such as “863”. I have been awarded by Second Class National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology three times, the National outstanding teacher. I have published more than 200 papers, including 78 papers collected by SCI or EI, and 4 books. Besides, I have more than 19 patents authorized.
