 Academic Areas: Modeling, simulation and optimization of discrete event systems; product digital assembly and maintenance; virtual/augmented reality technology and application; sustainable manufacturing/production.

Professor Wang is the director of the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing System Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He has been a member of IEEE, IISE and a senior member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. Now he serves as a member of Machinery Industry Automation Branch and Precise Assembly Professional Committee. He also is a specialist of NSFC peer review and thesis review for Degree Center of Ministry of Education. Professor Wang has been a PI of over twenty projects from NSFC, National department, International and domestic enterprises. He is a co-author over seventy publications in international/domestic journals and conferences.
