Academic Areas:Polarized optics based techniques, instrumentation and applications for micro/nano-scale materials; Optical modeling, analysis, and optimization of stratified optoelectronic devices.

Honggang Gu received his BS degree and PhD degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2011 and 2016, respectively. Then he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at HUST from July 2016 to June 2020. Now he is a lecturer (assistant professor) in the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering at HUST. His research interests include: (1) Key techniques, instrumentation, and applications of ellipsometry and polarimetry; (2) Characterization of optical and dielectric properties of novel materials, such as 2D materials and heterojunctions, perovskites, organic semiconductors, metamaterials and metasurface, etc.; (3) Optical modeling, analysis, and optimization of stratified optoelectronic devices.
