Dr. Chen Jiang is a lecturer in the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. Before that, he was a postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Seoul National University. He received his Ph.D. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2020 and Bachelor's degree from Hunan University in 2015. His research interests include design under uncertainty, uncertainty quantification, model verification and validation, prognostics and health management. He has published over 40 articles in international referred journals and conference proceedings. His paper has been selected as "Papers of Distinction" in ASME 46th Design Automation Conference, IDETC/CIE. He has won the Reviewer of Distinction award of ASME Journal of Mechanical Design in 2022, the Best Reviewers Award of ASCE-ASME Journal of Risk and Uncertainty in Engineering Systems, Part B: Mechanical Engineering in 2021. In addition, he has served as guest editor and early career editorial board member for several journals, such as ASCE-ASME Journal of Risk and Uncertainty in Engineering Systems, Part B: Mechanical Engineering.
