Dr. Ronglei Sun received his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Automatic Control Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China, in 1985 and 2002, respectively. He was employed as an engineer and appointed to be a director of Electrical Division at the Hubei Research Institute of Mechatronics, China. He has been with the HUST since 1994. As a Professor of mechatronics engineering at HUST, his research interests include manufacturing automation, robotics, machine learning and computer vision. Dr. Sun is the secretary-general of the National Society of Intelligent Manufacturing of China.
