Academic Areas: Multiphysics computational modeling for functional micro-nano structures and advanced manufacturing


Prof. Gao graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2014, and earned his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia in 2019. From August 2019 to January 2023, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In March 2023, he joined the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering.
