Dr. Liang XIA is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He received his Doctoral degree from University of Technology of Compiegne (UTC, France) and Bachelor degree from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU, China). Dr. Liang XIA joined School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in February 2017. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral researcher in Roberval Laboratory of Mechanics (CNRS 7337) and Laboratory of Multiscale Modeling and Simulation (CNRS 8208) in France. His PhD thesis received UTC 2015 Guy Deniélou PhD Thesis Award, the Best PhD Thesis Award from the CSMA association and had been nominated for ECCOMAS 2015 PhD Thesis Award. His research interests cover structural topology optimization, multiscale modeling and model order reduction. He is the author and co-author of over 20 peer reviewed journal papers with 445 citations and h-index 13 (Google Scholar Citations by Dec. 2017).
