Dr. Mi Xiao was born in 1987, and he received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China, in 2012. He was a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering (MSE) of HUST, from June 2012 to April 2015. Now, he is a lecturer in School of MSE of HUST. His research interests include multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO), uncertainty-based design optimization and Structural topology optimization. In these areas, he has published more than 20 research papers in major international journals and conferences, such as Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization, Expert Systems with Applications, and Journal of Engineering Design.
