From 3rd to 8th, April, 2016, Dr. Xiuguo Chen went to Krems, Austria to attend the 9th Asia Nanotech Camp (ANC 2016), which was jointly organized by the Asia Nano Forum, the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the University of Applied Sciences Krems, and the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology.
The ANC is a program initiated by the Asia Nano Forum, a network organization of 16 member economies mostly in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, Austria, China, Hong Kong, Iran, India, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE and Vietnam. ANC serves as a platform for young researchers involved in nanotechnology to learn about the cutting-edge nanotech advancements, experience collaboration with members from other economies and gain better knowledge about the culture of the host country.
During this camp, Dr. Chen made a report entitled “Mueller matrix scatterometry for nondestructive nanostructure metrology”. His report introduced the basic theory and methods as well as the instrumentation of Mueller matrix scatterometry for the nondestructive and accurate nanostructure metrology. The report attracted the wide attention and interest of the participants. During the camp, Dr. Chen and other participants also visited the Austrian Institute of Technology, the Technical University of Vienna, and the University of Applied Sciences Krems, etc.
The visit was supported by the international cooperation promoting program funds of MSE.
