Professor Yin Zhouping Honored Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Innovation Prize

On October 29th, 2014 annual awarding ceremony of Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation (HLHLF) was held in Beijing. Professor Yin Zhoupin in School of Mechanical Science & Engineering, HUST won the HLHLF Prize for Science & Technology Innovation.

Prof. Yin Zhoupin has long been committed to the research on electronic manufacturing equipment and digital manufacturing technology. In response to the great national demand for developing high-tech electronic manufacturing equipment, he has overcome many crucial technologies. The main technology of the three core equipments he invented--pickup device, coating device and hot pressing device has achieved the same level of that of international equipment of the same kinds. The success in the R&D of a set of technologies and equipment has made the product boast a strong international competitiveness.

It’s known that HLHLF Prize is annually awarded and subdivided into prize for S&T achievements, prize for S&T progress, prize for S&T innovation. The prize is set to commend S&T workers with outstanding achievements and stimulate them to make an endless quest for the peak of S&T in the advocacy of respect for knowledge, talents and science and technology. The foundation is established in 1994 by four Hong Kong patriotic financial experts, He Shanheng, Liang Qiuju, He Tian and Li Guowei. In this year’s awarding ceremony, awardees are altogether 52 S&T workers, 2 of whom won the prize for S&T achievements, 36 the prize for S&T progress and 14 the prize for S&T innovation.
