Associate Prof. Xu Jiang attended the 18th International Symposium on Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics (ISEM 2017) which was held in Chamonix Mont-Blanc, France from September 3 to September 6, 2017. Dr. Xu gave a report entitled Effect of Fatigue Damage on The Notch Frequency of The Pre-stressing Strand Based on Magnetostrictive Guided Waves,where the effect of fatigue damage on the notch frequency of the pre-stressing strand was studied.
The purpose of this symposium was to promote the current exchange of electromagnetics and mechanical technology by providing high-quality professional interaction and communication opportunities for attendees on-site.The symposium discussed new technologies of electromagnetic nondestructive testing (NDT), covering from the new principle of electromagnetic NDT, the methodology of electromagnetic NDT and the applications of electromagnetic NDT to the new technology of electromagnetic NDT.At the symposium, Dr. Xu shared his view of electromagnetic non-destructive testing and exchanged ideas with foreign experts.
