Prof.Tan Kay Chen, invited by Prof.Gao Liang, visited MSE and State Key Lab of Digital Manufacturing Equipment and Technology on Sept 30, 2017. He gave a report entitled Computational Intelligence in Condition-based Maintenance Applications.
In the report, Dr.Tan elaborated theories and methods of neuro-morphic cognition and computing, algorithm optimization, data minging and machine learning. He also introduced the application of computational intelligence in condition-based maintenance from aspects of remaining useful time of equipment, imbalanced learning, surface quality inspection, welding defect detecting. Teachers and students who came to the seminar discussed enthusiastically with Dr. Tan on the lecture topics after his presentation. The attendees harvested a lot from the lectures, the event was successful.
