During Oct 14 to 21, 2017, Professor Liu Yinshui along with two Ph.D. candidates Han Mingxing and Deng Yipan of MSE went to USA to attend 2017 ASME/Bath Symposium on Fluid Power and Motion Control (FPMC). At the symposium, Han Mingxing made a presentation entitled Mathematical Modelling and Multi-objective Optimization Design of A Large Flow Water Hydraulic Proportional Cartridge Valve while Deng Yipan gave a lecture entitled Research on Sealing Performance in High Pressure Oil-free Miniature Air Compressor.
Topics discussed at the symposium included design of fluid dynamic components and systems, control strategy of hydraulic system, tribology and energy saving. Experts and scholars from international famous fluid power transmission research institute and manufacturer attended the conference, including Pudue University, University of Minnesota, Bath University, Aachen Institute of Technology, Paker, Danfoss and Rexroth, etc.
The symposium is hold by America Mechanical Engineering Society and Bath University every year in turns in the United States and England. All of the articles that have been reported on this event were granted with high quality.
At the conference, Prof. Liu and his Ph.D students had a in-depth communication with international peers regarding the fields of water hydraulics and high-pressure gas pump. Additionally, they introduced the preparatory situation of the 8th International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics which will be hold in HUST in 2019. After the symposium, they visited SUN Company, which is famous for manufacturing hydraulic cartridge valve.
