Two MSE Research Achievements Win 2017 National Science and Technology Award

The 2017 National Science and Technology Award Conference was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on January 8th, 2018 to honor distinguished scientists and research achievements.

Two MSE research achievements were awarded. The project “Key Technologies and Industrialization of High-performance CNC System”, headed by Prof. Chen Jihong, and the project “Equipment for Efficient Medicament Packaging and Its Industrialization” that Prof. Tao Bo worked on won the second prizes of the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award.

 

 

The ceremony honored 271 projects and 9 scientists with national prizes, including National Supreme Science and Technological Award, National Natural Science Award, National Technological Invention Award, National Science and Technology Progress Award, and International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Award of the People’s Republic of China. Among them, the National Natural Science Award gives 35 prizes, including 2 first prizes and 33 second prizes; the National Technological Invention Award gives 66 prizes, including 4 first prizes and 62 second prizes; the National Science and Technology Progress Award gives 170 prizes, including 3 grand prizes, 21 first prizes (including 3 prizes for innovation teams), and 146 second prizes. In total, 5 HUST research achievements were awarded, among which 3 were completed by HUST as the lead institution in collaboration with others.
