On august 28th -29th, the research project launch meeting for Intelligent Manufacturing Discipline Development Strategies of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) undertaken by Academician Ding Han from the School of MSE of HUST, and the Seminar on Frontier Strategies for Intelligent Manufacturing Discipline Development of National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) undertaken by Prof. Yin Zhouping from MSE of HUST, were held in Wuxi City. This meeting was co-sponsored by the Department of Engineering & Material Sciences of NSFC and the Department of Technological Sciences of CAS, organized by the State Key Laboratory of Digital Manufacturing Equipment and Technology, and assisted by HUST-Wuxi Research Institute. Over 40 experts and scholars from units like Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, etc. attended the meeting. Director Lai Yi’nan from NSFC and Director Feng Xia from CAS were presented and addressed at the meeting. Academician Ding Han chaired the meeting.
Over 10 experts including Academician Xiong Youlun and Academician Ding Han from the School of MSE of HUST gave special reports.
Through special reports and seminars, experts and scholars, focusing on the opportunities and challenges that intelligent manufacturing is facing under new situations, carried out in-depth discussions on aspects of new models, new theories, new methods and frontier development directions of intelligent manufacturing discipline.
Associate Dean Gao Liang from Research and Development Office of HUST, Dean Zhou Huamin from School of Materials Science and Engineering of HUST, and Associate Dean Peng Fangyu from the School of MSE of HUST, were presented at the meeting.
