On the afternoon of October 11th, China’s 10 Advancements in Intelligent Manufacturing Science and Technology were announced on the 2018 World Intelligent Manufacturing Summit. “Multi-robot Based Intelligent Grinding Technology for Large-scale Components” of MSE, which was led by Academician Ding Han (Director of MSE), and guided by Professor Yan Sijie of MSE, was selected as one of the 10 Advancements. Professor Yan Sijie accepted the award and participated in the high-end dialogue of the Summit.
After over 10 years’ theoretical and practical accumulations and experiments, the “Multi-robot Based Intelligent Grinding Technology for Large-scale Components” tackled many key technological problems, and developed the first large-scale component robot grinding system, thus making it possible to realize the intelligent manufacturing with high-precision and high-proficiency of large-scale components. Based on this key technology, Academician Ding Han and his team carried out deep collaboration with CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co. Ltd., and jointly established Wuxi CRRC Times Intelligent Equipment Co. Ltd.. The company provides solutions for the overall intelligent manufacturing of large-scale key components in key areas such as electrical energy, rail traffics, aerospace, shipping and so on.
“The World’s 10 Advancements in Intelligent Manufacturing Science and Technology” and “China’s 10 Advancements in Intelligent Manufacturing Science and Technology” ( namely the “Double 10 Advancements” ) were selected by 13 authoritative industrial organizations at home and abroad such as the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, China Instrument and Control Society, Society of Automotive Engineers of China, etc. This activity aims at grasping the development trend of intelligent manufacturing, and selecting key scientific advancements which meet the needs of China and with certain demonstration effects, thus leading the development of China’s intelligent manufacturing industry.
