Recently, Stanford University published the World's Top 2% Scientists 2020 List. 72 scholars from HUST were selected, among which 3 were from MSE, namely Prof. Shen Weiming, Prof. Gao Liang and Prof. Zhou Xinping.
The list was published by the team of Professor John P.A.Ioannidis of Stanford University. Based on citation times, H factor and HM factor, the team selected top 2% of the world's scientists from nearly 7 million scientists. The ranking was divided into 22 fields and 176 sub fields. The database included nearly 160,000 famous scientists in various fields. Among the list, Prof. Shen Weiming and Prof. Gao Liang were in the field of Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing and Prof. Zhou Xinping in Energy.
Being listed in the top 2% of the world's top scientists means that MSE researchers have ranked at the top level in related fields with high world influence, and have made important contributions to the development of this fields.
