From May 13 to 18, the 2021 Graduation Design Exhibition of Department of Industrial Design of MSE was held at the 1st floor of the Advanced Manufacturing Building. Many design experts were invited to visit the exhibition and carried out exchanges on the planning and construction of design discipline. The experts are from School of Urban Design of Wuhan University, School of Arts and Communication of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), School of Industrial Design of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, School of Architecture and Urban Planning of HUST, Department of Visual Communication of Wuhan University of Technology, Department of Product Design of Wuhan University of Science and Technology, the Industrial Design Center of Wuhan Guide Infrared Co., Ltd., and Wuhan OS Design Co., Ltd., etc.
The invited experts and teachers of Department of Industrial Design of MSE exchanged views on the new characteristics and trends of industrial design, and discussed the discipline construction scheme of cultivating high-quality design talents, including the teaching curriculum for undergraduates majoring design, the co-construction of laboratories and platform resource sharing between universities and enterprises. Experts and teachers also discussed topics like 3D printing technology in intelligent manufacturing and the innovative application of artificial intelligence in design. Department of Industrial Design will cultivate innovative design talents based on MSE’s high quality resources on teaching and scientific research in future.
