In Summer 2024, I attended the "HUST Chinese Language + AI Robot Summer School" at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). This program, organized by the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, focused on robotics, AI, intelligent manufacturing, and cultural exchanges. I will share my experiences from the first two weeks on campus.

Upon arrival at Wuhan Tianhe airport, I faced challenges such as jet lag, weather changes, and language barriers. However, with assistance from volunteers and seniors like Selim and 敬广, I quickly adapted to campus life. Arriving a few days early allowed me to explore HUST's main campus, which offered a vibrant nightlife with various sports and diverse street food vendors. The convenient transportation system, including shared bikes and frequent buses, greatly facilitated my exploration and integration as a student.

Having lived and studied in Germany for several years, my experience in Wuhan felt both familiar and strange due to the similarities and differences between China and Vietnam. Before the summer school began, I had the opportunity to watch a dragon boat race for the first time. Despite the location being far, it provided a chance to try the shared bikes. When the program officially started, in the following days, I had theoretical classes in the morning and culture classes or company visiting in the afternoon. At night, I sometimes went out to the mall near the university, or visit Wuhans famous attractive such as yellow crane tower or Hubu food alley. These activities made my daily life on campus easier and more enjoyable. I will attach some images in my first 2 weeks at HUST.
